In this series, I take a primary source text, The Outline of History, and obfuscate them by drawing over each page with Caran D’ache wax pencils. I literally create geometric blocks, chunks, lines and cracks to create a mutilated history that services those from the new post-literate generation who no longer reads. As echoed in the current political environment of fake news and witch hunt screams, my primary source obfuscation supports a fresh perception that no longer looks to actual events and primary source documents.
