Familial Ghosts is a photographic series of decades-old Kodachrome slides taken by my dad of the family, friends, traveling, vacations, and parties.  The slides are altered by drawing with  flame, wax, ink, and  liquids then resurrected digitally reflecting the otherworldly. Informed by my background in painting, this series invites fresh introspection beyond the representation of a photographically captured reality to expose the fraught relationship between outward appearance, inner life and imagined non-linear narratives.
