Familial Ghosts is a personal photography project of altered decades-old Kodachrome slides my dad took of family vacations, outings, and parties throughout my childhood, which I transform through wax, ink, and household cleaning products, then resurrected digitally into a futuristic world. Informed by my background in abstract drawing and painting, I strive to find fresh introspection beyond the representation of a captured reality where I expose the fraught relationships between outward appearance, inner life, and time.
