With all the political, social, and racial unrest currently creating great divisiveness in the United States, in the months leading up to the 2020 Presidential election, I feared America was heading towards another Civil War. As a metaphor for my prayers for democracy, I painted in an American Civil War book using only the color blue to reflect the color of the Union Soldiers' uniforms and the color of today's Democratic Party.
